About the YAHSADA:

YASHADA is a premier institute of the Government of Maharashtra with over four decades of experience, and meets the training and research needs of State and Union government departments, elected representatives and NGOs. With various specialized centers and cells, Yashada imparts training to over 20,000 functionaries each year in every aspect of governance and development administration.

Dr. Ambedkar Competitive Examination Center (ACEC) was set up at YASHADA, Pune under the Schedule Caste Sub Plan (SCSP) of Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra & Started functioning from 3rd July 2006 for providing guidance to the Candidates from weaker section of the society from Maharashtra.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Any graduate from any faculty from a recognized University (Medical graduates, should have completed internship)
  • Age limit 21 to 30 yrs. (gen.), relaxation for SC/ ST 5 yrs and for OBC 3 yrs.
  • Domicile of Maharashtra
  • An Ex- ACEC candidate who has availed of the benefit of Coaching for Prelims or Mains in YASHADA will NOT be eligible.
  • Full time candidates will not be allowed to do any other courses / job simultaneously.

Exam Syllabus:

An Objective type (Multiple Choice Questions) examination as per new pattern introduced at UPSC Preliminary Examination consisting of two parts will be conducted.

Study Plan:

Phase - I

Preparation for Prelim Exam. (G.S. + CSAT) November to April
Preliminary Exam.) Revision and Tests for Prelim May

Phase -II

Preparation for Main Exam. (G.S. + Optional I & II + Essay) Including Tests, Counseling etc. July to October

Phase -III

Special Capacity Building Programme for UPSC personality test along with Mock Interview 3rd week of March

The Course will cover all components of General Studies & Selected Major optional Subjects namely, History, Political Science, Public Administration and Geography along with Essay.
