Applications are invited only from candidates professing Hindu Religion, upto 5.45 p.m. on 17-05-2011 for direct recruitment to the vacancies in the following post included in Group –I B Service:-

Assistant Commissioner:

In the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Administration Department.

  • Number of Posts: 09
  • Pay Scale: Rs.15600-39100+ Grade Pay Rs.5400/- (PB3)
  • Qualification: (i) (a) A degree in Arts or Science or Commerce of any University or Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission for the purpose of its grant or B.O.L. of Annamalai University or B.B.A. of Madurai Kamaraj University or B.Litt. of the University of Madras or B.B.M. or B.Litt. of Bharathiyar University and A degree of Bachelor of Law (three years course) of any University or Institution recognized by the UGC for the purpose of its grant.
    OR
    (b) A degree of Bachelor of Law (Five years integrated Course) of any University or Institution recognized by the UGC for the purpose of its grant.
    AND
    (ii)(a) Must be actually practising as an Advocate or as a Pleader in a Court of Civil or Criminal Jurisdiction for a period of not less than three years.
    OR
    (b) Must have put in a service of not less than six years in the post of Executive Officer, Grade I or Grade II or Grade III or Grade IV, or Inspector or Head Clerk or Manager or Superintendent, in the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Administration Department.
  • Age: Maximum 32 Years (As on 1.7.2011)

Procedure of Selection:

Selection will be made in two successive stages i.e., (i) Written Examination and (ii) Oral Test in the shape of an interview. (For further details please refer paragraph 22(b) of the ‘Instructions, etc., to candidates’).

Examination Fee:

Rs.125/- (For further details refer para 2 under part -Ill of Information Brochure and for Examination fee concessions refer para 12 of the ‘Instructions, etc., to candidates'). Candidates (other than those who apply Online) should inform the Counter Clerk of the Post Office their OMR application Number for obtaining the Postal Receipt.

How To Apply:

(A) Candidates are advised to verify the following aspects also before sending their filled in OMR applications to the Commission’s office:

  1. Signature by the candidate in ballpoint pen or fountain pen only below the declaration.
    Failure to sign will entail rejection of his/her application.
  2. Columns 1, 1(a), 3, 4 and 22 in the OMR application form filled up based on the details available in this Notification/ Advertisement.
  3. Certificates, as specified in para 10 above.

(B) Filled in applications must be sent to the Commission's Office addressed to the Controller of Examinations, Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, Commercial Taxes Annexe Building, No.1 Greams Road, Chennai - 600 006 well in advance so as to reach before 5.45 p.m. on 17-05-2011.
