Job Details:

I. PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT

Post Name: 1. Block Development Officer
Total No of Posts: 9 posts (2 resvd for OBC, 2 resvd for ST)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 9,300-34,800+4,600/- Age: Not exceeding 42 years.

Educational & Other Qualifications:-

Essential: (i) Degree in any branch from a recognised University or equivalent. (ii) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: (i) Degree in Sociology/Social Work from a recognized university or equivalent. (ii) Knowledge of Marathi.
Note: There will be a screening test to shortlist the candidates. The screening test will be of 100 marks objective type of 75 minutes duration.

The syllabus for the screening test will be as under:

i) General Knowledge
ii) Elementary Mathematics / Reasoning
iii) Basics of Indian Constitution: Preamble, Fundamental Rights, Fundamental Duties, Directive Principles of State Policy, State Legislature, Executive and Judiciary.
iv) Good Governance: Efficiency, Transparency, Accountability in Governance, Right to Information Act, Role of Lokayukta.
v) Goa Panchayati Raj Act.
vi) Current events of State and National importance
vii) Goa’s Freedom Struggle
viii) Physical, Economic and Social Geography of Goa
ix) Social Issues: Corruption, Environment and Women’s issues

II. GOA MEDICAL COLLEGE

Post Name: Associate Professor in Plastic Surgery
Total No of Posts: 1 post (2 nd time)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,600/- Age: Not exceeding 45 years.

Educational & Other Qualifications:-

Essential: (i) A recognised medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956).
(ii) Post graduate degree or equivalent in the concerned super-speciality or equivalent. (iii) At least four years teaching/research experience in a recognized Medical College/Teaching Institution after obtaining the qualifying degree of Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.)/Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch.). (iv) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.

NOTE: For candidate with Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.)/Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch.) degree of three years duration, experience required is at least three years after qualifying degree.

Post Name: Assistant Professor in Plastic Surgery
Total No of Posts: 1 post (3rd time)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,600/- Age: Not exceeding 45 years.

Educational & Other Qualifications:-

Essential: (i) A recognised medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). NOTE: For candidate with Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.)/Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch.) degree of three years duration, no experience is required.

III. DIRECTORATE OF HEALTH SERVICES

Post Name: Junior Surgeon
Total No of Posts: 1 post (3rd time)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+5,400/- Age: Not exceeding 42 years

Educational & Other Qualifications:-

Essential: (i) A recognised Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (102 of 1956) Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the said Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
(ii) Postgraduate degree, failing which post-graduate diploma, in the speciality concerned. (iii) In case of Diploma holders, work in responsible position connected with the speciality concerned for 2 years after post graduation Diploma. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.

IV. DIRECTORATE OF FOOD & DRUGS ADMINISTRATION

Post Name: Drugs Inspector
Total No of Posts: 4 posts (1 resvd for OBC, 1 resvd for ST)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 9,300-34,800+4,600/- Age: Not exceeding 42 years.

Educational & Other Qualifications:-

Essential: (i) Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicines with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from an University established in India by Law. (ii) Not less than 18 months experience in the manufacture of at least one of the substances specified in schedule C and/or schedule C1 to the Drugs and Cosmetics Rule, 1945
OR
(ii) Not less than 18 months experience in testing atleast one of the substances specified in schedule C and/or schedule C1 to the Drugs and Cosmetics Rule, 1945
OR
(ii) Not less than three years experience in the inspection of firms manufacturing any of the substances in schedule C and/or schedule C1 to the Drugs and Cosmetics Rule, 1945, during the tenure of his service as a Drugs Inspector.
(iii) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
