Applications in the prescribed format given below are invited from Indian Citizens and such other Nationals as are declared eligible by Government of India for recruitment to the under mentioned posts. Posts under sl. no. 3 are permanent and posts at sl. no. 1, 2, 4, 5 & 6 are temporary but likely to be permanent.

1.INSPECTOR OF FACTORIES

PAY:  Rs.15, 600/- – Rs.42, 000/- (P.B. - 4A) plus Grade Pay Rs.6, 600/-.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent; and

2. At least 5 (five) years experience in an Engineering Workshop or Plant of repute.

AGE: Not more than 35 years on 01.01.2014.

2. GENERAL MANAGER

PAY: Rs.15, 600/- – Rs.42, 000/- (P.B. - 4A) plus Grade Pay Rs.6, 600/-

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Degree in Engineering / Technology or a second class Master’s Degree in Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics/Statistics/Economics/Commerce or equivalent qualifications from a recognised University/Institute,

2. 5 (five) years’ experience in a responsible post in the working and development of Cottage & Small Scale Industries, relaxable at the Commission’s discretion in exceptional cases

3. Knowledge of Bengali – spoken & written.

AGE: Not more than 40 years on 01.01.2014

3. POSTS UNDER THE ANIMAL RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT:
(A) JOINT DIRECTOR

PAY: Rs.15, 600/- – Rs.42, 000/- (P.B. - 4A) plus Grade Pay Rs.6, 600/-.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A post graduate degree in Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc.),

2. At least 8 (eight) years’ experience in field in eradication of disease,

3. At least 4 (four) years’ experience in disease investigation and eradication works,

4. At least 4 (four) years’ experience in a biological production centre,

5. At least 2 (two) years’ experience as head of the office and D.D.O. in any of the above capacities or separately,

6. Knowledge of Bengali/Nepali and English – spoken & written &

7. Registration with the West Bengal Veterinary Council under Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984.

AGE: Not more than 52 years on 01.01.2014.

(B) ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

PAY: Rs.15, 600/- – Rs.42, 000/- (P.B. - 4A) plus Grade Pay Rs.5, 400/-.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A degree in Agriculture or a degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from a recognised University &

2. 5 (five) years’ experience in field in rural areas or large livestock farms including experience in production and development of fodder.

AGE: Not more than 40 years on 01.01.2014.

(C) ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

PAY: Rs.15, 600/- – Rs.42, 000/- (P.B. - 4A) plus Grade Pay Rs.5, 400/-.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry or a degree in Agriculture with Dairy Science or a degree in Animal Husbandry/Dairying or a degree in Science stream plus diploma in Animal Husbandry/Dairying

2. for degree holders 5 (five) years’ experience in administration of large farms or extension of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry work in rural areas for diploma holders, 8 (eight) years’ experience in administration of large farms or extension of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry in rural areas.

AGE: Not more than 40 years on 01.01.2014.

(D) VETERINARY OFFICER

PAY: Rs.15, 600/- – Rs.42, 000/- plus Grade Pay Rs.5, 400/- (P.B. - 4A),

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B. V. Sc. & A.H.) or Veterinary Science (B.V. Sc.) from a recognized University/Institute or any other qualification as mentioned in the First and Second Schedule of the Indian Veterinary Council Act. 1984 (52 of 1984) &

2. Registration with a Veterinary Council established under any statute of the State government or the Government of India.

AGE: Not more than 32 years on 01.01.2014

4. HEAD MASTER

PAY: Rs.15, 600/- – Rs.42, 000/- (P.B. – 4A) plus Grade Pay of Rs. 5, 400/- and additional Grade Pay of Rs. 200/- (for schools with H.S. section).

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Second class Master degree of a recognized university or equivalent,

2. First class Bachelor degree in teaching/education of a recognized university or equivalent,

3. 10 years’ teaching experience in recognized secondary schools,

4. capacity for developing corporate life and maintaining discipline in secondary schools,

5. familiarity with the latest developments in secondary education &

6. good power of expression in Bengali – spoken and written.

AGE: Not more than 45 years as on 01.01.2014

5. ASSISTANT ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL)

PAY: Rs.15, 600/- – Rs.42, 000/- (P.B. - 4A) plus Grade Pay Rs.5, 400/-.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

2. Desirable: One year’s Post-Graduate practical training or study or research or practical engineering experience.

AGE: Not more than 32 years on 01.01.2014

6. ASSISTANT TRAFFIC AND TRANSPORTATION ENGINEER

PAY: Rs.15, 600/- – Rs.42, 000/- (P.B. - 4A) plus Grade Pay Rs.5, 400/-.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree in Civil Engineering with High Way Engineering or Transportation Engineering as a subject from a recognized University or equivalent.

AGE: Not more than 32 years on 01.01.2014
