Online applications are invited for the below mentioned posts. The last date for filling up the applications is 04.12.2014. Candidates should carefully read the “Instructions” available on Commission’s website before filling the application online.

(1). In case of non-availability of suitable candidates with the knowledge of Konkani, for the posts in professional colleges, Consultants in Directorate of Health Services and highly technical/scientific posts, this requirement can be relaxed.

(2). Prescribed EQs are minimum & mere possession of same does not entitle the candidates to be called for interview. Where number of applications received is large, the Commission will short list the candidates to be called for interview as mentioned in the “Instructions”.

I. GOA MEDICAL COLLEGE

1. Professor in Paediatric Surgery .……. 1 post (4th time)

Scale of Pay : Rs. 37,400-67,000+8,700/-
Age : Not exceeding 45 years.

Educational & Other Qualifications:-

(a). Essential

A recognised medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956).
Post graduate degree or equivalent in the concerned super-speciality or equivalent.
At least ten years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Medical College/Teaching Institution in the subject of super-speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.)/Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch.).
Knowledge of Konkani.

(b). Desirable : Knowledge of Marathi.

NOTE : For candidate with Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.)/Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch.) degree of three years duration, experience required is at least nine years after qualifying degree.

2. Associate Professors:

(i) Paediatric Surgery ……. 1 post (4th time)
(ii) Neurosurgery ……. 1 post (4th time)

Scale of Pay : Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,600/-
Age : Not exceeding 45 years.

Educational & Other Qualifications:-

Essential

A recognised medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956).
Post graduate degree or equivalent in the concerned super-speciality or equivalent.
At least four years teaching/research experience in a recognized Medical College/Teaching Institution after obtaining the qualifying degree of Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.)/Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch.).
Knowledge of Konkani.

Desirable : Knowledge of Marathi.

NOTE : For candidate with Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.)/Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch.) degree of three years duration, experience required is at least three years after qualifying degree.

3. Associate Professor in Radiotherapy .……. 1 post (2nd time)

Scale of Pay : Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,600/-
Age : Not exceeding 45 years.

Educational & other Qualification :-

Essential:

A recognised Medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section 13(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
Post Graduate Degree qualification in the speciality concerned or equivalent.
At least 3 years’ experience in the concerned speciality as Assistant Professor in a Medical College/Teaching Institution after the requisite Post-Graduate Degree qualification.
Knowledge of Konkani.

Desirable : Knowledge of Marathi.

4. Assistant Professor in Paediatric Surgery .……. 1 post (3rd time)

Scale of Pay : Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,600/-
Age : Not exceeding 45 years.

Educational & Other Qualifications:-

Essential:

5. Lecturer in Paediatric Surgery ..…. 2 posts (4th time)

Age : Not exceeding 45 years.

Essential

A recognised Medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section 13 (3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
Post Graduate degree qualification in the speciality concerned or equivalent.
At least 3 years teaching experience in the concerned speciality as Senior Resident/Registrar/ Tutor/Demonstrator in a Medical College/Teaching Institution.
Knowledge of Konkani.
