Recruitment for Various Posts in Various Department 2013

Applications (Off-line/On-line) in the Commission’s prescribed form AF-I are invited from genuine citizens of  India who are desirous to apply as per the terms and conditions of this Advertisement for recruitment to the various categories of posts specified in the table below. Application will be received up to 5:00 P.M. on 28th February, 2013 and no application will be entertained after the closing date. For on-line applications through MPSC Website closing date is 23:59 Hrs on 28th February, 2013 after which the link will be disabled.

1.Medical & Health Officer

  • Total Posts: 60
  • Pay Scale: Rs. 17000-470-20290-EB-560-25330-760-33690/-pm
  • Age Limit: 23 to 29 years relaxable by 5 years in respect of Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste
  • Education Qualification: The candidate must be an MBBS Holder from any recognised  Medical Institution in India and duly registered with MCI

2.Assistant Engineer (Civil) Grade II

  • Pay Scale: Rs. 17000-470-20290-EB-560-25330-760-33690/-pm
  • Age Limit: 18 years to 27 years. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST. The age limit for candidate who are already in Govt. Services may be relaxed upto 45 years of age.
  • Education Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) Degree Holder from any Institution/University recognised by Government of Meghalaya. The candidate should be able to read and write either Khasi/Garo language.

3.Assistant Teacher for Environmental Education

  • Pay Scale: Rs.15700-390-18430-EB-510-23020-690-30610/-pm for post graduate and Rs. 14700-370-17290-EB-480-21610-650-28760/- pm for graduate
  • Age Limit: Candidates should not be less than 18 years and not more than 27 years.
  • Education Qualification: Graduate with Honours in Environmental Education/ Environmental Science/Botany/Forestry from any recognised University in India and having B.Ed OR Post Graduate Degree Holder in Environmental Education/Ecology and Environmental Science and having B.Ed with teaching experience in ICSE Schools.

4.Fishery Officer

  • Pay Scale: Rs. 14700-370-17290-EB-480-21610-650-28760/- pm
  • Age Limit: Maximum 27 years. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for ST/SC candidates.
  • Education Qualification: B.Sc/B.F.Sc for B.Sc candidates with Pisciculture should be one of the subject

5.Subordinate Engineer (Civil) Grade-I

  • Pay Scale: Rs.14100-350-16550-EB-460-20690-620-27510/-pm
  • Age Limit: 18 to 27 years relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
  • Education Qualification: Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering from a recognised Institution.

6.Assistant Auditor

  • Total No. of Posts: 32
  • Pay Scale: Rs.14100-350-16550-EB-460-20690-620-27510/-pm
  • Age Limit: 18 to 27 years relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
  • Education Qualification: Graduate in Arts/Science/Commerce from any recognized university.

7.Junior Coaches in the discipline of Table Tennis

  • Pay Scale: Rs.14100-350-16550-EB-460-20690-620-27510/-pm
  • Age Limit: 18 to 27 years relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
  • Education Qualification: Must have passed 10+2 Examination in any stream from any recognized Institute/Board. Must be a Diploma holder in Sports Coaching (Table Tennis) from the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NSNIS) in India or any recognized institute.

8.Sub-Inspector of Statistics

  • Pay Scale: Rs.14100-350-16550-EB-460-20690-620-27510/-pm
  • Age Limit: 18 to 27 years relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
  • Education Qualification: A candidate should be a Degree Holder of a recognised University in Arts, Science, Commerce with Mathematics, Statistics, Economics as one of the subject or a qualification recognised by Government as equivalent.

9.Junior Engineer (civil)

  • Pay Scale: Rs.14100-350-16550-EB-460-20690-620-27510/-pm
  • Age Limit: 18 to 27 years relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
  • Education Qualification: Must have passed 3(three) years Diploma in civil Engg. OR Overseer Grade II/Draftsman/Surveyor with 10 years continuous service or Trained Section Assistant with 10 years continuous service who have passed 12 months Section Assistant training from any recognised Institute and has completed 10 years continuous service having passed Matriculation or its equivalent examination. The candidate should know to write and speak either Khasi or Garo language.

10.Assistant Teacher (Science with Mathematics)

  • Pay Scale: Rs.14100-350-16550-EB-460-20690-620-27510/-pm
  • Age Limit: 18 to 27 years relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates. Preference will be given to those candidates who have passed B.Ed.
  • Education Qualification: Graduate in Science with Maths as one of the Subject in Degree level from a recognised University. Preference will be given to those candidates who have passed B.Ed.

11.Medical Record Officer

  • Pay Scale: Rs.14100-350-16550-EB-460-20690-620-27510/-pm
  • Age Limit: 18 to 27 years relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
  • Education Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably Science from a recognised University or equivalent
    Should undergo 1(one) year course for Medical Record Officer from a recognized Institution
    Not less than 2(two) years experience in organizing and maintenance of Medical Record in Hospital/Medical College. Knowledge of Khasi/Jaintia/Garo language

12.Surveyor Grade II

  • Pay Scale: Rs 10600-270-1290-EB-340-15550-470-20720/-pm
  • Age Limit: 18 to 27 years relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates. Preference will be given to those candidates who have passed B.Ed.
  • Education Qualification: Passed 2nd Year of the three Years Diploma Course in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution. Section Assistant having 6(six) years experience in that capacity

Application fee:

Fee prescribed in the Table below is required to be paid on submission of the Application Form. This amount may be paid through MPSC Challan. The original copy of the Fee Challan (MPSC copy) should be attached with the Application Form.

  • For posts at Sl. No. 1, 2 : Rs. 460/- , Half the rate for SC/ST 
  • For posts at Sl. No. 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 : Rs. 350/- , Half the rate for SC/ST
  • For posts at Sl. No. 12 : Rs. 320/- , Half the rate for SC/ST

How to Apply:

As already indicated candidates can submit their application through the following modes:

Off-line Mode:

  • In this option candidates should present their applications completed in all respect at:
    i. Office Counter of MPSC, Office, Headquarter, Shillong.
    ii. MPSC Cell at Tura, Nongstoin, Jowai, Baghmara, Williamnagar & Nongpoh
    On any working day between 10:30 A.M. to 5: 00 P.M. till the last date
  • Applications can also be sent by registered post so as to reach the Commission’s office at Shillong not later than the last date prescribed for off-line mode. The Commission will not be responsible for postal lost or transit delay.

On-line Mode:

  • Applicants may also apply online through the MPSC website viz www.mpsc.nic.in Kindly read the instruction on the web page carefully before applying on-line. Last date for on-line applications is 23:59 Hrs on 28th February,2013
  • Candidates who wish to file applications on line may file through cyber cafes and Community Service Centres (CSC). In districts where such facilities are not available candidates may visit the nearest nic centres where they will be assisted by the NIC in filling applications on line.
  • Candidates who have already registered with the Commission’s Website may log in and apply directly against the advertised vacancy/post of their choice.
  1. All application must be complete in all respects and accompanied with proof of payment of fee and enclosed with One Window Envelope of 4 cms x 9 cms affixed with Rs. 5/- postage stamp.
  2. Candidates are required to clearly indicate both the Division and percentage of marks in  the column captioned “Division/Percentage” at Sl. No. 20 of AF-I Form.
  3. Incomplete application will be summarily rejected and no further correspondence will be entertained.
  4. Government Employees may submit their application directly to the Office of the Secretary, Meghalaya Public Service Commission, Shillong in Form AF-I with separate request to their heads/appointing authorities for “PERMISSION” when called for Examination/or Interview.
  5. Candidate must appear for Written Test/Interview at his/her own expenses.
