Strategy & Road Map For Indian Police Service Limited Competitive Examination

Your strategymust be complied with the nature and requirement of the examination along with the available time which you have. Particularly for this year examination only twomonths left, so time factor play an important role for formulating a right strategy for this year examination, by considering this as an important factor Iwould suggest these following points while formulating your strategy:

FIRST STAGE

  • You must be well versed with your syllabus, because there are some minute but important point which you can confer from your syllabus and that will help you for better preparation, those are:
  • There are some traditional topics and some contemporary topics in your syllabus.
  • Some topics are mentioned both in objective paper syllabus and subjective paper syllabus.
  • Some new topics are specifically mentioned for subjective papers only.
  • You have to prepare for two essay paper one on security and related matters and other one is on social and economic development in India.
  • Essay topics are co related along with the current national issues and social relevance topic, and national security topic of your subjective paper, hence for essay, separate preparation is not required.
  • You have to qualify your objective papers and on the basis of that your subjective paper will be evaluate.
  • More over marks obtained in objective papers will be counted for merit ranking.
  • English language paper is only qualifying in nature.

SECOND STAGE

1. Give more attention to those areas which are common between objective and subjective papers, those are:

  • Indian polity
  • Indian history.
  • Indian geography.
  • Economic and social development in India.
  • Environment and ecology.
  • Statistics along with data interpretation and date sufficiency.
  • English paper (paper 3rd) of descriptive type along with objective type paper of paper 2.
  • Current events of national importance.

2. Give more attention towards these contemporary issues which are as follows:

  • Current National Issues and Topics of Social Relevance :
  • This part is intended to test the Candidate’s awareness of current National issues and topics of social relevance in the present-day India, such as the following :
  • The Indian economy and issues relating to planning, mobilization of resources, growth,  development and employment.
  • Issues arising from the social and economic exclusion of large sections from the benefits of development.
  • Other issues relating to the development and management of human resource.
  • Health issues including the management of Public Health, Health education and ethical concerns regarding health-care.
  • Law enforcement, internal security and related issues such as the preservation of communal harmony.
  • Issues relating to good governance and accountability to the citizens including the maintenance of human rights, and of probity in public life.
  • Environmental issues, ecological preservation, conservation of natural resources and national heritage.
  • India’s diversity, unity amidst diversity and pluralism as a part of the functioning of Indian Society. Conflicts due to political, economic, social and cultural reasons. Conflict resolution.
  • Democratic rights and privileges of citizens. Emerging social changes/trends relevant to governance.
  • National Security: Structure and functions of Defence Forces, Para Military Forces and Police. Origin, growth and dimensions of fundamentalism, militancy and terrorism. Local, regional, national and international dimensions of organized crime and terrorism; and efforts at countering them. “White-collar” and cyber crime, money laundering and tax-havens. Technology in crime detection, prevention and investigation, including forensics. Weapons and weapons training that a uniformed officer should be aware of. Food security, energy security, water security, technological self-reliance as a part of security objectives, Disaster Management including natural and man made disasters.

Because These Will Help You To Prepare

  • Your essay paper which carry 200 marks.
  • Your General Studies (descriptive) paper which carry 200marks.
  • It will prepare you for your interview which again carries 200 marks.

And the marks obtained in above papers will be counted for merit ranking. so you have to take every decision regarding your preparation intelligently and logically. The main objective should be qualify this examin this attempt itself, for achieving the same whatever is required you must give.

THIRD STAGE
