16 candidates to submit fitness certificate to DoPT

As many as 16 candidates who have cleared the Civil Services Examination have been declared temporary unfit by Central Standing Medical Boards (CSMBs).

The DoPT has asked the "unfit" candidates to get themselves treated and submit fitness certificate to the authorities concerned.

"The candidates are further advised that the medical status of the candidate is an important parameter in deciding the service allocated to a candidate, and can have cascading effect on the service allocation to other candidates below in rank.
