Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Indian Engineering Service Examination -2009
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the Indian Engineering Services Examination, 2009 from 6th June, 2009 .

Last Date for Application
- On or before the 9th February, 2009.
- 16th February, 2008 for the candidates from far flung areas

Eligibility:
Age Limit - Minimum 21 years and Maximum 30 years as on 1st August, 2009.

The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.

Educational Qualification :
A Degree in Engineering or equivalent. The candidate applying for the posts of Indian Naval Armament Service (Electronics Engineering Posts) and Engineer Group A in Wireless Planning & Coordination Wing/Monitoring Organisation can possess M Sc Degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject.

Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for personality test.

Physical Standards:
Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.

Application Form and Fee
The candidates must apply in the Common Application Form of the Commission for its examinations, and that can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/- only.

Application Fee of Rs.100/- can be paid by way of Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from payment (OBC candidates required to pay full fee).
