UPSC recommended IAS Candidates meets MoS, Personnel
Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances &
Pensions, Dr. Jitendra Singh, felicitated some of the candidates recommended by
the UPSC on the basis of the Civil Services Examination (CSE), 2013 at a brief
ceremony here today. Fourteen candidates including a Physically Handicapped
allocated IAS, who have occupied high ranks in the CSE-2013 were present. The
Minister later handed over Joining Letters to these candidates hailing from
Delhi National Capital Region only, who were invited to the function due to
shortage of time to include others.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Jitendra Singh said this is the
time to encourage these young men and women, own them as part of our Government
and motivate them to the service of the people. He said the Indian Civil
Services have evolved in the six decades since Independence from its aura of
colonial British empire to an Indian milieu of humility. He called upon the
young administrators to undo the cynicism of the last few years and rise to the
challenges in the service of the common man.
