Ans: Uttar Pradesh Reorganisation Bill, 1998, led to the creation of the Uttaranchal state. The Parliament passed the Indian Federal Legislation - Uttar Pradesh Reorganisation Act 2000 in August 2000 and thus on 9 November, 2000 Uttaranchal was formed.

Bihar reorganisation bill 2000 approved by the Parliament on 11th Aug and on August 25,the then President Mr. K.R. Narayanan approved it. This led to the creation of seperate state Jharkhand on 15th Noc 2000.

Madhya Pradesh Reorganization Act 2000 apprived by parliament on August 9th and 25th August 2000 by president created chattisgarh on 1st November 2000
Uttaranchal (Alteration of name) bill 2006 was passed in Dec 2006 and the name was officially changed on January 2007.
