Govt. Experts Committee recommends not to conduct Civil services Exams Online


The expert committee constituted by the government for reforms in the civil services examination is likely to submit its report within six months and the changes proposed would be discussed before the final decision is taken, said UPSC chairman Deepak Gupta.

Speaking to The Hindu on the sidelines of the Conference of Public Service Commissions (PSCs) of the country here, Mr. Gupta said the committee was formed to study all aspects of civil services and he would not like to comment on the issues that were raised leading to the constitution of the committee.

Mr. Gupta, a former Jharkhand cadre IAS officer, said there was no plan to conduct civil services online.
