Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission invites Online Recruitment Applications (ORA*) from desirous and eligible candidates for various posts in various Departments of Himachal Pradesh Government up to 1st October, 2012 till 11.59 P.M. after which the link will be disabled.

Assistant Engineer

Total Posts: 12

Salary: Rs.15600 + 39100/- + Rs.5400/- Grade Pay

Age Limit: 45 Years

Education Qualification: Must possess a degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent from an Institution / University duly recognized by the Central / State Govt.

Ayurvedic Medical

Total Posts: 117

Salary: Rs10300 + 34800/- + Rs.5000/- Grade Pay

Age Limit: 45 Years & below

Education Qualification:

  • Recognized degree in Ayurveda not less than five years duration from a recognized Institution recognized by the Central/ State Government / CCIM.
  • Compulsory Rotatory Internship wherever required by the Central Council of Indian Medicine.

Medical Officer

Total Posts: 93

Salary:  Rs.15600-39100 + Rs.5400/- (G.P.)

Age Limit: 45 years & below

Education Qualification:

  • Recognized Medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part-II of the third schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. The holders of educational qualification included in Part-II of the third schedule should fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  • Completion of compulsory rotating internship.

Assistant Professor

Total Posts: 239

Salary: Fixed contractual amount of Rs.21,600/- P.M.

Age Limit: 45 years & below

Education Qualification:

  • A good academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent of 55%, wherever the grading system is followed in Masters Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from Foreign University recognized by the Government of India.
  • For the Assistant Professor in Fine Arts also i.e. Commercial Arts, Drawing & Painting and Sculpture, Master Degree in Fine Arts having good academic record with 55% marks or equivalent of 55% wherever grading system is followed.
  • A relaxation of 5% is provided from 55% to 50% marks, at the Masters Degree for the SC/ST categories.
  • A relaxation of 5% (from 55% to 50%) of marks, at the Master’s level to the Physically and Visually Handicapped persons in appointment as Assistant Professors.
  • A relaxation of 5% is provided from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. Degree holders, who have passed their Masters degree prior to September, 1991.
  • “B” in the 7 point scale with letter grades O,A, B, C, D, E & F shall be regarded as equivalent of 55% wherever the grading system is followed (7point scale is displayed in the Foot Note).
  • Candidate besides fulfilling the above qualifications should have cleared the eligibility test (NET) for Assistant Professor conducted by UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by State Public Service Commission.
  • “NET/SLET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor in Universities / Colleges / Institutions. Provided, however, that candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph.D degree in compliance of the “University Grant Commission (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D Degree), regulation 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET for appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in University / Colleges / Institutions.”

Assistant Area Manager / Assistant Procurement Officer, Class-I (On Contract basis)

Total Posts: 02

Salary: Rs.10300-34800/- + Rs.5000/- (Grade Pay) initial pay Rs.18450/-

Education Qualification: Graduate with at least 5 years experience in the field of procurement, distribution, personnel matters and maintenance of accounts of commercial concern or MBA with at least two years experience in commercial concern. Preference will be given to the candidates having additional qualification of MCA/BIT Computer.

Eligibility Conditions:

  • The date of determining the eligibility of all candidates in terms of essential qualification, experience etc. shall be reckoned as on the closing date, i.e. 1st October, 2012 for submitting the Online Recruitment Applications (ORA) on the website http://hp.gov.in/hppsc.

  • The decision of the Commission regarding eligibility etc. of a candidate for admission to viva-voce/ Personality Test or selection will be final and no correspondence / personal enquiries will be entertained.

  • Onus of proving that a candidate has acquired requisite degree/ essential qualification by the stipulated date is on the candidate and in the absence of proof to the contrary, the date as mentioned on the face of certificate/ degree or the date of issue of certificate / degree shall be taken as date of acquiring essential qualification. No extra opportunity shall be provided to the candidates to produce appropriate certificates at the time of interview.

  • In respect of equivalent clause in Essential Qualifications, if a candidate is claiming a particular qualification as equivalent qualification as per the requirement of advertisement, then the candidate is required to produce order/ letter in this regard, indicating the Authority (with number and date) under which it has been so treated otherwise the Online Recruitment Application is liable to be rejected.

Mode of Payment:

The candidates can deposit the requisite fee at any branch of Punjab National Bank through an e- Challan generated through the website of the Commission, i.e. www.hp.gov.in/hppsc and its Transaction No.,
Branch Code and date of Receipt are required to be updated before the last date in the same Login ID in the Fee Details link. Before applying online, all candidates are advised to go through detailed instructions given
on the above mentioned website.

How To Apply:

  • Candidates must apply online through the website http://www.hp.gov.in/hppsc. Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected. Detailed instructions for filling up Online Recruitment Applications are available on the above mentioned website.

  • Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post should apply separately for each post and pay the fee for each post in the prescribed manner.

  • After submitting the Online Recruitment Application (ORA), the candidates are required to take a printout of the finally submitted Online Recruitment Application and submit the same alongwith requisite attested
    documents / certificates in support of their eligibility to the Commission on the day of Screening Test for the concerned post.

  • In case the candidate has applied against more than one item i.e. post published in the advertisement, the candidate is required to submit separate copies of requisite attested documents/ certificates alongwith the Printout of the Online Recruitment Application of each post on the day of Screening Test for the respective posts
