Applications are invited for the following posts for a Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences, Department of Atomic Energy (BRNS–DAE), Government of India sponsored research project titled ‘Baseline Study of Flora Fauna at proposed uranium mining site at Gogi, Gulbarga district, Karnataka’ in the CEENR, Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC) (www.isec.ac.in).

Junior Research Fellow

Number of Posts: 02

Qualification:

Essential:

• M.Sc. in Zoology /Biological Sciences consistently good academic record.

Desirable:

1. UGC-CSIR NET qualified candidate will be given preference.
2. Knowledge on Non-chordates or Invertebrates (Annelids, Arthropods Mollusca) and Chordates for JRF from MSc Zoology background
3. Should have the good field knowledge

Technical Assistant

Number of Posts: 01

Qualification:

Essential:

• Bachelor or Master degree in Remote Sensing and GIS (or diploma in remote sensing and GIS
  From the recognized Institutions) along with knowledge of database management or BSc or
  Ecological Economics/Environmental Science background for the other position.

Desirable:

• These positions are purely temporary. The appointment will be on contract basis for a period of six months initially and on satisfactory performance can be extended further. Good knowledge of Computers and Programming is a requirement for JRF and TA.

Age Limit:

• Normally below 30 years.

Emoluments:

• Junior Research Fellow - Rs.12,000/- per month
• Technical Assistant - Rs.11,000/- per month
