Qualification

Ph.D Degree in relevant area with First Class degree at Bachelors or Master’s level in the appropriate/relevant branch of Engineering/Technology/Science /Management / Architecture with relevant specialization. Suitable candidates without Ph.D may be appointed on purely contract basis, to be regularized after attaining PhD, subject to good performance during the contractual period.

Age:

  • The Upper age limit is 35 year

Important Instructions

  1. Candidates applying for more than one Department/Post are required to submit separate application forms for each post.
  2. Required areas of specializations in various departments are given in Annexure-I. However, if candidates with preferred specializations do not qualify, only then, candidates with other relevant areas of specialization may also be considered. Separate Merit list shall be prepared for each specialization in order of preference as per the requirement of the Institute.
  3. Reservation as per Govt. of India norms apply. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC and Physical Handicapped categories should attach certificate obtained from Revenue Authorities not below the rank of Tahasildar or from a First Class category to which they belong. They must also clearly indicate the category to which they belong in the application form.
  4. Besides the basic pay in the applicable pay band of the respective posts, admissible allowances like DA, HRA, etc. in accordance with Central Government/Institute Rules in force from time to time shall be payable.
  5. Exceptionally deserving candidates may be granted higher pay on recommendation of Selection Committee. Increments for higher qualification may be granted subject to recommendation of the Selection Committee.
  6. The Institute reserves the right to offer some of the posts on Regular/Contract/Deputation basis. The appointments on contract/deputation shall be for a maximum period of five years, and as per G.O.I Norms and shall
    be confirmed subject to good performance.
  7. The number and/or level of posts may also vary as per the need of the Institute at the time of recruitment.
  8. Screening committee shall shortlist the eligible and most desirable candidates to be called for interview from amongst the applicants based on specialization of a candidate, availability of candidates, needs of the institute and its departments and in doing so it shall not be bound by the options exercised by the applicants.
  9. Candidate in Govt. service should send their original application through proper channel. A photocopy of the original application should be sent in advance before the prescribed last date. Such candidates are required to produce “No Objection Certificate” at the time on interview, failing which they will not be considered by the Selection Committee.
  10. Selected candidates should be prepared to join duty within the time granted.
  11. This is a standing advertisement. Candidates may apply throughout the year. However, applications received on or before 10/05/2011 will be considered for the current round of selections. Applications received beyond this date may be considered for next round, subject to vacancy in relevant discipline.
  12. Candidates may be required to make a brief technical presentation at the time of interview.
  13. Applications not in the prescribed form will not be entertained. Following copies of marks cards / grade cards / certificates etc must be attached:

  14. Please enclose a detailed academic profile including the following information
    (i) Details of publications / conference papers presented listing publications and presentations chronologically giving details of: Names of authors, title of the paper, name of the journal/conference, volume / proceedings, pages, year etc. in Journals and Conferences. Attach copies of three best (in your opinion) Referred Journal papers
    (ii) Details of Awards, patents, prizes etc.: Nature and name of Prize/Award, Name of the patent, year and details about the patent etc.
    (iii) Details of Research guidance (Ph.D /M.S./M.Tech.,/M.Sc./MBA) : Research degree,name of the scholar, title of thesis, year of award, co-guide, if any, etc.
    (iv) Details of research/consultancy projects carried out: Title of the project, duration, sponsor, value, co-investigators, if any, etc.
    (v) Other activities: Text books and Monographs written with publication details,
    (vi) Continuing Education Programmes /Conferences organized.
    (vii) Any other relevant information on your academic standing/administration standing.
    (x) Application in prescribed format along with DD (Demand Draft) of Rs. 500/- drawn in favour of Director, MANIT, Bhopal, payable at Bhopal must reach to office of the Registrar, MANIT, Bhopal – 462 051 latest by 10/05/2011 ST/SC candidates are exempted from payment of fee.
