The Director, NERIST hereby invites applications from the citizens of India for the posts of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Registrar, Deputy Registrar, Assistant Registrar, Medical Officer, Asstt. Workshop Supdt. and Executive Engineer. The pay bands carry other allowances admissible as per Government of India rules.

Assistant Registrar- 02(UR):

Qualification : (i) Post-Graduate Degree with at least 55 % marks or its equivalent grade from a recognised University; (ii) Desirable knowledge in computer application;
Experience : Minimum one year experience at the level of Group-B Officer in the field of administration, establishment, finance, Store & Purchase and academic offices in a Govt./Semi Govt./University. Preference shall be given to higher experience holders.
Age : Below 40 years;
Pay Scale: PB-3; Rs.15600-39100/- AGP Rs.5400/-

Medical Officer – 02(UR):

Qualification : Minimum one year experience at the level of Group-B Officer in the field of administration, establishment, finance, Store & Purchase and academic offices in a Govt./Semi Govt./University. Preference shall be given to higher experience holders.
Age : Below 35 years;
Pay Scale: PB-3; Rs.15600-39100/- AGP Rs.5400/-

Assistant Professor:

Qualification : Master’s with 1st class or equivalent or B.Tech first class with Ph.D. in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout. For Science and Humanities Group, NET/SLET/SET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition. However, candidates, who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the UGC Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET.
Pay Scale: PB-3; Rs.15600-39100/- AGP Rs.6000/-

General Conditions/Instructions:

Applications filled only in prescribed format along with summary sheet will be entertained;
he candidates who have applied in response to the earlier Advertisements (Advt. No. 2/2010 for officer posts and No.3/2010 for teaching posts) need not to apply again; however, they may submit up-dated bio-data referring to the earlier application without any application fee. Further more, applicants who applied earlier for the post of Professor in Agricultural/Mechanical Engg. and Assisant Professor (Now Associate Professor) in Computer Sc.& Engg./Physics against the Advt.No.3/2009 and Medical Officer against Advt.No.1/2007 must submit a fresh application in the prescribed format referring to the earlier application without any application fee;
Submission of API Score in the prescribed format (Annexure-III) and acquiring minimum score as stipulated is essential for the post of Professor and Associate Professor;
Applications received in response to the advertisement will be scrutinized and short-listed candidates will only be called for interview. Mere fulfilling the requirements laid down in the advertisement does not entitle automatically a candidate to be called for interview. The Institute reserves the right to restricts the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit;
Depending on perceived availability of qualified candidates, different departments may set different short-listing criteria;
Age should be as on last date of receipt of application;
The post of Medical Officer is residential one, and the person, if selected, has to stay inside the campus and have to attend emergency duties beyond normal office working hours;
Persons employed in Govt./Semi-Govt./PSUs/ Autonomous Institutions should submit their applications through proper channel;
Any change of address should be communicated at once;
The Demand Draft should not be drawn before the date of issue of this advertisement and after the closing date of receipt of application and also should have validity at least for six months.
Candidates willing to apply for two or more posts must submit separate applications and fees, if applicable, for each post, in separate envelopes;
