Eleven Assistant Directors (Aircraft Engineering) in Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Civil Aviation. (SC-01,OBC-02, UR-08). The posts are permanent.

Pay Scale : Rs.15,600-39,100 (PB-3) + Rs. 6,600 (Grade Pay) (T.E. Rs. 45,954/-Approx.) + TA and HRA as admissible, General Central Service, Group 'A', Gazetted.

Age* : 40 yrs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

ESSENTIAL:

  • EDUCATIONAL: At least Second Class Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.

  • EXPERIENCE : Four years' experience in Aeronautical Research, Development, Design OR Airworthiness Engineering.

DESIRABLE :

 Experience in Airworthiness Engineering (for those who not possessing essential experience (Four years' experience in Aeronautical Research, Development, Design or Airworthiness Engineering).

DUTIES :

Responsible for all type certificate work including approval of Engineering drawings, witnessing of static and other related tests to determine conformity of the design features and manufacturing process to the relevant airworthiness requirements. Also to assist the Director (AED) on the spot approval of structural modification, substitutions of material etc.

Two Assistant Professors (Geography) in National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, Pune, Ministry of Defence. (OBC-01, UR-01).

The posts are suitable for Physically Challenged Persons with disability viz. Blindness or Low Vision i.e. Blind (B) or Partially Blind (PB) or Orthopedically Handicapped/ Locomotor Disability/Cerebral Palsy with Both Legs Affected but not Arms (BL) or One Leg Affected (Right or Left) (OL) or One Arm Affected(Right or Left) (OA). The posts are permanent.

Pay Scale : Rs. 15,600-39,100 (PB-3) + Rs. 6,000 (Academic Grade Pay) (T.E. Rs. 44,712/-Approx.) + TA and HRA as admissible, General Central Service, Group 'A', Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.

Age*: 35 yrs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed at the Master's Degree level in Geography from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited Foreign University.

  • Must have cleared National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants Commission, Council for Scientific and Industrial Research or similar test accredited by the University Grants Commission.

  • Notwithstanding anything contained in clauses (i) and (ii) candidates who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D.Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of National Eligibility Test (NET)/State Level Eligibility Test (SLET)/State Eligibility Test (SET) for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/ Colleges/Institutions.

  • National Eligibility Test (NET)/State Level Eligibility Test (SLET)/State Eligibility Test (SET) shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/ SLET/ SET is not conducted.

Explanation:

  • The term 'Good Academic Record' means at least 55% marks at Master's Degree level in Geography.

  • "M.Sc (Geography) will be considered as relevant qualification for Master's degree in Geography".

Note-I: A minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed will be required at the master's level for those recruited as teachers at any level from industries and research institutions and at the entry level of Assistant Professor.

Note-II: A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and master's level for the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Differently-abled (Physically and visually handicapped) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching positions. The eligibility marks of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures.

Note-III: A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. holders who have passed their Master's degree prior to 19th September, 1991.

Note-IV: Relevant grade which is regarded as equivalent of 55% wherever the grading system is followed by a recognised University, shall also be considered eligible. Note-V: The period of time taken by candidates to acquire M.Phil., and /or Ph.D degree shall not be considered as Teaching/Research experience to be claimed for appointment to the teaching positions..

DUTIES

In addition to primary duty of teaching a Assistant Professor will assist in all aspects of training of cadets. He / she will perform all administrative duties as assigned by higher authorities and participate in academic / social events.

He holds a Degree in Law of a recognised University or equivalent* and unless he has been a member of a State Judicial Service for a period of not less than seven years' or has held a superior post** in the Legal Department of a State for a period of not less than seven years' or is a Central Government servant who has had experience in legal affairs for not less than seven years' or possesses a Master's Degree in Law and has had teaching or research experience in Law for not less than five years' or is a qualified legal practitioner*** of not less than 30 years of age. *(Bachelor Degree in Law.). **(He should have experience in the State Government in a post which is not clerical and which requires qualification of Degree in Law for appointment to it. *** (An advocate or a pleader who has practised as such for at least seven years' or an attorney of the High Court of Bombay or Calcutta who has practised as such for at least five years' or has practiced at such attorney and an advocate for a total period of at least five years'.

A person shall not be eligible for appointment by direct recruitment to a duty post in Grade IV, unless he holds a Degree in Law from a recognized University or Bachelor Degree in Law from a University established or incorporated by or under a Central Act; a Provincial Act or a State Act or any institution for higher education deemed to be a University by the Central Government or any other institution or foreign university approved by the Central Government and unless he has been a member of a State Judicial Service for a period of not less than seven years' or has held a superior post in the legal department of a State for a period of not less than seven years' or a Central Government servant who has had experience in legal affairs for not less than seven years' or possesses a Master's Degree in Law and has had teaching or research experience in Law for not less than five years' or is a qualified legal practitioner of not less than 30 years of age.

  • NOTE-I: Preference shall be given to a person with experience in legislative drafting, if such post is in the Legislative Department.

  • NOTE-II: In computing the period during which a person has held any office in the State Judicial Service or in the Legal Department of a State or under the Central Government, there shall be included any period during which he has held any of the other aforesaid offices or any period during which he has been a legal practitioner.

  • NOTE-III: In computing the period during which a person has been a qualified legal practitioner, there shall be included any period during which he has hold any office in the State Judicial Service or has held a superior post in the legal department of a State or has been a Central Government servant having experience in legal affairs.

  • NOTE-IV: Qualified legal practitioner means an advocate or a pleader who has practiced as such for at least seven years', or an attorney of the High Court of Bombay or Calcutta who has practiced as such for at least five years' or has practiced as such attorney and an advocate for a total period of at least five years'.

Pay Scale: Rs. 9,300-34,800 (PB-2) + Rs. 4,600 (Grade Pay) (T.E. Rs. 28,773/- Approx.) + TA and HRA as admissible, General Central Service, Group 'B', Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.

Age*: 30 yrs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATIONAL:

Master's Degree in Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry/Degree in Chemical Technology or Chemical Engineering from a recognized University / Institute or equivalent*. *Equivalent degree of abovementioned degree is Master's Degree in Materials Chemistry.

B. EXPERIENCE:-

Two years'' experience in supervisory capacity in a technical / industrial unit involved in metal electroplating of nickel, copper chromium, silver etc. or experience in promotion of small scale industries in areas of entrepreneurship development and quality control.

DESIRABLE:

  • Familiarity with the latest techniques of production and use of modern instruments equipments processes and tools as applied to the metal finishing/chemical industries; and

  • Basic knowledge of Computers particularly application side of currently used software / packages for Offices.

DUTIES:

To visit micro, small and medium enterprises and advise their supervisory staff and workers about different problems, suggest improved techniques of production, quality standards and method of working, conduct entrepreneurship development programmes in the field of metal finishing technology. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

HQ : New Delhi with liability to serve anywhere in India.

APPLICATION FEE:

  • Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card.

  • No fee for SC/ST/PH/Women candidates of any community. No "fee exemption" is available to OBC male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.

  • Applications without the prescribed fee would not be considered and summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection would be entertained.

  • Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstance nor can the fee be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.

HOW TO APPLY:

  • Candidates must apply online through the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in. Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected.

  • Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post should apply separately for each post and pay the fee for each post in the prescribed manner.

  • After submitting the Online Recruitment Application (ORA), the candidates are required to take out a printout of the finally submitted Online Recruitment Application.

  • Candidates are not required to submit to the Commission either by post or by hand the printouts of their online applications or any other document. They will be required to bring along with them the printouts of their online applications and the documents mentioned in para 7 below if called for interview.

  • The applicants are advised to submit only single Online Recruitment Application for each post; however, if somehow, if he/she submits multiple Online Recruitment Applications for one post, then he/she must ensure that Online Recruitment Application with the higher "Application Number" is complete in all respects including fee. The applicants, who submit multiple Online Recruitment Applications, should note that only the Online Recruitment Application with higher "Application Number" shall be entertained by the Commission and fee paid against one "Application Number" shall not be adjusted against any other "Application Number".
