Gujarat shines with 150+ successful candidates in CSP 2010

More than 150 students from Gujarat have cleared the preliminary test of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). About 20,000 students from the state had appeared for this test whose results were declared on Thursday. The final exam is scheduled to be held on October 29.

A total of 3.50 lakh students across the country had appeared for the preliminary test, out of which 12,500 students have passed.

For the past few years, students from Gujarat have been doing well in UPSC exams. Last year, about 90 students from the state cleared the UPSC prelim test. This year, 13 from the state cleared the final exam, which is conducted twice every year. The development has come as a major morale booster for students here. The state has registered 20 per cent growth in number of UPSC candidates.
