NEWS : Only four from Gujarat clear Civil Services exams this year

Only four from Gujarat figure in the list of successful candidates in the Civil Services examinations conducted by the UPSC. In all, 734 have cleared the UPSC exams this year. Dhaval Patel, is a PG student at the Civil Hospital is the highest-ranking candidate from the state. He has been placed 12th in the merit list.

All the four were part of the training programme conducted by the Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration (SPIPA) for Civil Services Examinations. Three other successful candidates are Kartikey Bhudhdhabhatti, Pradhuman Meena and Tejas Patel. Eight candidates from the state had cleared the exams last year.

SPIPA coaches a batch of 60 students every year. This year 16 students had received interview calls while last year the number was 32. One of the successful candidates Tejas Patel is a Mamlatadar in Limkheda in central Gujarat.
