Divisional commissioners of three divisions including Allahabad, Vindhyachal and Chitrakoot have been appointed observers for ensuring
smooth conduct of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examinations slated to be held on May 17 in 65 examination centres. In addition, a control room has also been set up at the district collectorate to monitor the examination.
On Friday, the supervisors were imparted training for conducting the examination by ADM city and ADM (finance and revenue) who instructed them to read the instructions carefully for proper conduct of the examinations.
Strict instructions were issued that no mobile phones would be allowed inside the examination centres as also calculators, pagers and other electronic mediums of communication. An invigilator would be deputed to supervise 24 examinees at a time and two invigilators would supervise a single room. The restrictions on carrying phones and electronic equipments would be applicable for the invigilators as well.
It was informed that examinees would be allowed to enter the examination hall twenty minutes prior to the commencement of examination and no examinee would be allowed entry ten minutes after beginning of the examination. No examinee would be allowed to leave the examination hall before the conclusion of the examination.
