Civil Service OBC Applying Procedure

Sir, I am coming under non creamy layer in OBC category and while I am trying to apply for CS examination in UPSC site, there is a column that asks the community certificate date.

What it means? Should I collect the certificate from respective authority before appearing exam?

Kindly help. I dont any other source to ask this question. So please help.

Dear Candidate,

if you are putting OBC in the category column, you have to submit your relevant certificate during the Mains stage. However, you need to put the date of the certificate in the prelims form. You should get the certificate, if done have one, and if you want to take the exam under the respective category.
