Selection process of CBI Clerical exam:
Central Bank of India (CBI) clerical exam selection process consists of two stages:
1- Written test.
2- Interview.

Final merit list is decided on the basis of marks scored in above two stages taken together.

Pattern of CBI Clerical written exam:
There would be two types of written test: Objective & Descriptive.

Objective test pattern for CBI Clerical exam:
There would be four Objective tests as described below:
1.0 Test of Reasoning Ability.
2.0 Test of English Ability.
3.0 Test of Numerical Ability.
4.0 Test of Clerical Aptitude.

There is negative marking for the wrong answers in these Objective tests. Total time for the objective test is 95 minutes, with 50 questions for each of these four tests. You need to pass in each of the objective tests individually. Objective test for English Ability is however of qualifying nature only and although you have to qualify it, the marks scored by you is not counted for the merit positions.

Descriptive test pattern for CBI Clerical exam:
Descriptive test would consist of five compulsory questions to assess your knowledge on Socio-Economic Developments & Communication skills. It is also of qualifying nature only and although you have to qualify it, the marks scored by you is not counted for the merit positions.
