Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission
Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) is an independent and
impartial constitutional authority for the recruitment of candidates to the
various civil service posts in the state. It was established on 25th January
1971 along with the formation of the state of Himachal Pradesh
The Commission has one chairman and three other members, appointed by the
Governor, to look after its various activities and functions under article 315
of the constitution of India. Their services are regulated by the Himachal
Pradesh Public Service Commission (MEMBER) Regulations, 1971.
Functions:
- Recruitment to civil services post in the state
- Provisions of Recruitment and Promotion
- Principles to be followed in making appointments,
- Promotion and transfer from one service to another and in respect of disciplinary matters affecting Civil Servants.
- Direct recruitment of Class-I & Class-II posts of different departments.
