Examination Notice No. 11/2011-IES/ISS Dated : 30.07.2011 (Last Date For Receipt of Applications : 29.08.2011) Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2011
Examination Notice No. 11/2011-IES/ISS:
A combined competitive examination for recruitment to Grade IV of the Services mentioned in Para 2 below will be held by the Union Public Service Commission commencing from 3rd December 2011 in accordance with the Rules published by the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation in the Gazette of India dated the 30th July, 2011. The examination will be held at the following centers:

Eligibility Conditions:
Nationality
A candidate must be either:
-
A citizen of India, or
-
a subject of Nepal, or
-
a subject of Bhutan, or
-
a Tibetan refugee who came over to
Age Limits :
-
A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st January, 2011, i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd January, 1981 and not later than 1st January, 1990.

upto a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe.
-
upto a maximum of three years in the case of candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes who are eligible to avail of reservation applicable to such candidates.
-
upto a maximum of five years if a candidate had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from the 1st January, 1980 to the 31st
day of December, 1989.

How To Apply:

Candidates are required to apply Online using the link http://www.upsconline.nic.in Detailed instructions for filling up Online Applications are available on the abovementioned website.

Candidates residing in certain Remote Areas specified in Para 6 of this Notice can exercise the option ofapplying through Offline mode also by using the Common Application Form (Form-E) being used for examination conducted by the Commission. This Application Form along with an Information Brochure containing generalinstructions for filling up the Form, an acknowledgement Card and an envelope for sending the application is obtainable from the designated HeadPost Offices/Post Offices throughout the country as listed in Appendix-III of Notice against cash payment of Rs.30/- (Rupees thirty only). Form should be purchased from the designated Post Offices only and not from any other agency. This Form can be used only once and for only one examination.

Last Date For Receipt Of Applications :
Online: The Online Applications can be filled up to 29th August, 2011 till 11.59 PM after which the link will be disabled.
However, the candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub- Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep have the option to apply offline. For these candidates, if applying offline, the last date for receipt of applications is 5th September, 2011. All candidates applying offline should note that the Offline Applications will be accepted only by Post/Speed Post from the Post Offices located in the Specified Remote Areas.
