Subrat once again proved the famous saying- where there is a will; there is a way- right. Twenty-five-year-old Subrat secured 93rd position in the UPSC examination.

Born to Gopal Krishan Sen and Rupa Sen, Subrat completed his elementary education from the village of Simrahi. Subrat passed out from Jawahar Navodya Vidyalaya, Supaul. He acquired his BA (pass) degree in geopgraphy from Bhimrav Ambedkar University, Delhi.

The proud father owns a shop dealing in bi-cycle parts. His son's rare achievement has made Gopal Krishan a celebrity in his village.

Ranju Kumari belongs to Nalanda district's Ekangar Sarai. She works in an 'anganwari'. Her husband is farmer and her son is soon to become an officer in the Indian Administrative Department.
