Free Coaching : Coaching for IAS, IFS aspirants :

Starting 2008, Goa Education Development Corporation will provide free training to Goan students aspiring to join the Indian Administrative Service and the Indian Forest Services, said a senior official from the corporation.

The scheme called 'Goa - Lead Forward 2008' has already been approved by the board of the corporation and is awaiting the state Cabinet's nod, said the official, adding that Rs 10 crore is proposed to be used for the scheme in the next five years.

Twenty aspirants will be chosen on merit each year. They will be provided a month long training free of cost by the corporation with the aim of helping them perform well at the IAS and IFS examinations. Those born in Goa as well as those with 10 years domicile will be eligible.
