Indian Navy SSC 2009
Introduction:
Indian Navy SSC (Technical)(Electrical/Engineering Branch)(Including Submarine Cadre) invites all the Indian Unmarried male candidates for recruiting in Short Service Commission in the Electrical and Engineering Branch of the Navy. Examination is conducted twice in a year for recruiting the technical candidates, once in the month of January and other in month of July.
Eligibility:
1. Candidate must be 19 to 25 years of age.
2. Candidate must have B.E/B.Tech degree from the recognized University with at least 55 % aggregate.
3. Engineering must be done in one of the following courses:
1. Mechanical Engineering
2. Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
3. Control Engineering
4. Electrical Engineering
Physical Requirements:
Height: Candidate must have minimum height of 157 cm and 148 cm for female candidates.
Weight: Candidate must possess an acceptable weight in accordance with height.

Visual Standards: 6/36, 6/36 (correctable to 6/6 in each eye with glasses).
Selection Criteria:
1. Eligible Short listed candidates are called for Selection Board Interview for the duration of 5 days.
2. Candidates qualifying this test will be allowed to participate in a series of tests:
1. Psychological Tests
2. Individual Tasks
3. Group Tasks
4. Group Discussion and Interview
2. Selected candidates have to appear for a medical fitness test.
3. Candidate recommended for submarine cadre will undergo a special Medical Examination at Mumbai and Visahkapatnam.
