TRAINING GROUND FOR IAS OFFICERS

 

The Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) is a research and training institute on public policy and public administration in India. All IAS probationers training is hel every year during the foundation course.

The academy's main purpose is to train civil service officers of Indian Administrative Service, Indian Police Service, Indian Forest Service .

The Indian Administrative Service (IAS) trainees officers are awarded an MA degree in Public Management from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi.

The Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, India's premier research and training institute on administration and public policy, is located in Mussoorie, 2000 meters above sea level, in the foothills of Himalayas. The LBS National Acdemy of Administration located at Mussoorie, India has the mandate of 1) Induction training for Senior Indian Civil servants, 2) In-service training programmes for them, 3) Seminars, workshops & research in governance issues.
