The result of the J&K Combined Competitive Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2009, held on 23 and 24th of May 2009, is declared as per Annexure “A” to this notification.

The Commission has fixed 208.81 marks secured by a candidate, of all the candidates who have appeared in the Preliminary Examination, as the minimum cut off marks for a candidate for being admitted to the Main Examination.
The Commission has made the short listing in pursuance to the Sub rule (2) of Rule 8 of Jammu and Kashmir Combined Competitive Examination Rule, 2008 and the law laid down including the judgment of Hon’ble Supreme Court in A. P. Public Service Commission Versus Baloji Badhavath & ors (Civil Appeal No. 2244 of 2009).
Since the Commission has relied solely on the solemn declaration made by the candidates in their Application Forms regarding eligibility viz. Date of birth, Qualification, Category, etc. as submission of documents/ testimonials was dispensed with by the Commission at the time of submission of Application Forms with a view to expedite the process; the Commission reserves the right to itself that in case, it comes to the notice of the Commission at any time that there is any misrepresentation or suppression of facts or the authenticity of certificates is challenged or the eligibility has been claimed by furnishing false information/ declaration, this declaration of result shall not confer any right whatsoever in such an eventuality and their candidature shall be liable to cancelation ab initio and the next candidate in order of merit shall be short listed in place of the candidate whose candidature is rejected.
The candidature of candidates who are declared to have qualified for J&K Combined Competitive Services (Main) Examination, 2009 is purely provisional and subject to determination of final eligibility at the time of submission of Application Forms for (Main) Examination.
Based on the representations received within due date from various candidates alleging discrepancies in the following questions in the subjects as shown against each were deleted from the evaluation after consulting subject experts of the concerned subjects. The marks of such questions were distributed among the remaining questions on pro rata basis of such subjects and evaluation done accordingly:-
The result of candidates bearing Roll No’s 0901210 & 1800772 has been kept with held pending further processes and the decision by the Commission.
This is subject to the outcome of any writ petition pending disposal in the court of competent jurisdiction on the subject.
