Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Professors in the following disciplines of this Institute in the scale of pay of ` 15,600 – 39,100 with AGP of ` 6,000 (Revised) on All India Basis. Minimum Qualification:

Assistant Professors in Agricultural Sciences

Qualification: A basic degree in the concerned faculty viz., B.Sc. (Agri.) / B.Sc. (Hort.) / B.Tech (Hort.) of not less than 4 years duration and Master degree in the relevant subject.
Pass in the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
Desirable : Ph.D. (NET is not mandatory).
Age : upto 35 years (Relaxable by five years for SC and ST candidates).

Assistant Professors in Horticulture

Qualification: A basic degree in the concerned faculty viz., B.Sc. (Hort.) / B.Tech. (Hort.) / B.Sc. (Agri) of not less than 4 years duration and Master degree in Horticulture or in any one of the Horticultural Sciences.
Pass in the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
Desirable: Ph.D. (NET is not mandatory)
Age: upto 35 years (Relaxable by five years for SC and ST candidates).

Assistant Professor in Agricultural Engineering (Farm Machinery)

Qualification: A basic degree in Agricultural Engineering, B.E. (Agri.) / B.Tech. (Agrl. Engineering) of not less than 4 years duration and M.E / M.Tech. (Farm Machinery).
Pass in the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
Desirable : Ph.D. (NET is not mandatory)
Age : upto 35 years

Assistant Professor in Agricultural Statistics

Qualification: A basic degree in B.Sc. (Statistics) and M.Sc. (Statistics) or B.Sc., (Agri.) and M.Sc. in Agricultural Statistics.
Pass in the National Eligibility Test (NET) or an accredited State Level Eligibility Test - SLET / (SET).
Desirable : M.Phil. or Ph.D (NET / SLET / SET is not mandatory)
Age : upto 35 years

Assistant Professor in Mathematics

Qualification: A basic degree in B.Sc., (Mathematics) and M.Sc., (Mathematics)
Pass in the National Eligibility Test (NET) or an accredited State Level Eligibility Test - SLET / (SET).
Desirable : M.Phil. or Ph.D (NET/SLET/SET is exempted for Ph.D. holders)
Age : upto 35 years

Assistant Professor in Physical Education (Lady)

Qualification: A Master’s degree in Physical Education from a recognized Institute and a record of having represented her University at the inter University level or state in the National Championship; or Experience in organizing games and sports (as exemplified in handling of about half a dozen teams in a year in her Institution and their participation in University / inter collegiate tournaments) and ability to encourage mass participation in games and sports.
Qualifying in the National Level Test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.
Passed the Physical fitness test conducted in accordance with these regulations.
Desirable : M.Phil or Ph.D (National Level Test is not mandatory for Ph.D holders)
Age : 35 years (Relaxable by five years for SC and ST candidates).

The cost of the application is ` 1000 for general candidates and ` 500 for SC and ST candidates (Proof of evidence should be attached).
The filled in application should reach this Office on or before 20.04.2011.
The application forms and instructions can be had from the office of The Dean, PAJANCOA & RI, Serumavilangai, Nedungadu (Post), Karaikal – 609 603 in person or by sending a requisition letter with self addressed envelope (30 cm x 13 cm) bearing postage stamp for ` 75.
Alternatively, the application form can also be downloaded from the website (www.pajancoa.ac.in), and sent before the due date with a Demand Draft from any one of the nationalized banks for the value mentioned above in the name of the Dean, PAJANCOA & RI, Karaikal, payable at Karaikal.
