Application are invited for the following posts:

Clerk

• Number of Posts: 11
• Pay Scale: Rs. 10300-34800 plus Rs. 3200 grade pay and usual allowances

Qualification:

The candidates should possess a degree of Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science or equivalent there to from a recognized University and he should have passed Matriculation with Punjab as one of the subjects. The candidate will have to pass written examination in the following subjects:-
 

No candidates shall be considered for appointment unless he obtains 40% marks in aggregate in the written examination and qualifies the Computer test with minimum speed of 30 w.p.m. and have proficiency in operation of computer particularly in "Open Office" and "Spreadsheets".

Stenographer Grade-III

Number of Post: 09

Pay Scale: Rs. 5910-20200 plus grade pay as admissible under the rules

Qualification

The candidate should possess a degree of Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science or equivalent thereto from a recognized University. He will have to qualify the English Shorthand test at a speed of 80 w.p.m. and 20 w.p.m. for transcription of the same on the date of test. The candidate should also have proficiency in computers (Word processing and spread sheet).

Age:

The candidates should be between 18 to 37 years of age as on 01.01.2011.

How To Apply

Application on prescribed proforma, for the following posts, invited from eligible candidates, along with three passport size photographs, one to be pasted on application, one on Roll No. card and third one to be attached with the application. A self addressed envelope duly affixed with Rs. 5 postal stamp should also be attached with the application. The Performa of application and Roll no. card can be downloaded from the website www.ludhiana.gov.in.

Important Dates

• Application for the post of Clerk should reach in this office uptill the evening of 30.04.2011.
• Application for the post of Stenographer Grade-III should reach in this office uptill evening of 21.04.2011.
• Date for written test for the post of  Clerks will be published latter on.
• Test for the post of Stenographer i.e. English Shorthand/Computer Proficiency test, will be held on 05.05.2011 and 06.05.2011.
• Candidates appearing in test for the post of Stenographer Grade-III, may collect the Roll no. cards from the office of District & Session Judge, Ludhiana on 29.04.2011 and 30.04.2011, from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm. personally.
