Assistant Directors (Entomology)

In the Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine & Storage, Faridabad, Department of Agriculture & Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture

Number of Posts:

10 (one post is reserved for SC & two posts are reserved for OBC candidates)

Qualifications :

Essential : A. Educational : Master of Science Degree in Entomology or Nematology or Master of Science Degree in Agriculture with specialization in Entomology Or Nematology or Master of Science Degree in Zoology with specialization in Entomology or Nematology from a recognized University or equivalent.
B. Experience: Three years practical experience in Entomology/Nematology related to Plant Protection.
Desirable : i) Doctorate Degree in Entomology or Nematology or Agricultural Entomology from a recognized University/Institute or equivalent. ii) For the posts where duties involve work in Nematology, Post Graduate degree and practical experience in the field of Nematology shall be preferred. Duties : i) To supervise and co-ordinate technical and administrative work. ii)To supervise, collection, collation and dissemination of information on Plant Protection. iii) Mass multiplication of host insects, parasites and predators for bio-control of crop posts, diseases and weeds.

Assistant Directors Grade-I (Industrial Management & Training)

In the Office of the Development Commissioner (MSME), Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises

Number of Posts:

02 (one post each is reserved for SC & ST candidates)

Qualifications :

Essential : Educational : (A) (i) Degree in Engineering from a recognized University or Institute equivalent. (ii) Post graduate degree or Diploma in Industrial Management or Business Management or Business Administration from a recognized University or Institution or equivalent; and (iii) One year experience in Management of Production or Marketing in Central Government or State Government or in any recognized Industrial concern or Organization or experience in Teaching Industrial Management or Business Management or Business Administration. OR (B) (i) Degree in Economics or Commerce from a recognized University or equivalent. (ii) Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Industrial Management or Business Management or Business Administration from a recognized University or Institution or equivalent; and (iii) Three years experience in Management of Production or Marketing in Central Government or State Government or in any recognized Industrial concern or Organization or experience in Teaching Industrial Management or Business Management or Business Administration.
Desirable : Experience of conducting surveys, preparing reports and planning. Duties : a) To visit small-scale units and advise their supervisory staff and workers about different problems in the field and Industrial Management & Training which confront them in their day to day work. b) To suggest improved and economical techniques or production, proper handling of material and correct method of working. c) Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time in the field of training management, consultancy and in other allied matters.

Deputy Director (Metallurgy)

In the Office of the Development Commissioner (MSME), Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises

Number of Posts:

01 (The post is also suitable for Physically Handicapped candidates with disability viz. Orthopapedically Handicapped / Locomotor Disability/Cerebral Palsy with OL(One Leg) affected.)

Qualifications :

Essential : Educational : (A). i) Degree in Metallurgical Engineering/ Metallurgical Engineering and Material Science/ Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from a recognized University/Institute or equivalent; ii) Five years’ experience in a supervisory/managerial capacity in a technical organization or industrial concern in metallurgical operations like making, shapping, treating, quality control and quality assurance; iii) Knowledge of the latest techniques of production and operations of modern machinery equipment and tools used in Metallurgical operations, applications and processes. OR (B). i) Master of Technology/Master of Engineering degree or Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering/ Metallurgical Engineering and Material Science/ Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from a recognized University/Institute or equivalent; and ii) Three years’ experience in managerial/supervisory capacity in a technical organization or industrial concern in metallurgical operations.
Desirable :Knowledge of modern production techniques like Computer Aided Design, Quality Management Systems like Total Quality Management (TQM), Environment Management System and Total Production Maintenance etc; ii) Two years administrative experience.
Duties: i) To suggest important and economical technique of production, proper use of materials and correct type of machine and equipment suitable for the purpose by proper demonstration etc. ii) To promote the growth and development of industries in the MSME with particular reference to Metallurgical Engineering industries. iii) To establish and maintain contact with large scale undertaking both in the Private and Public Sector at an appropriate level. iv) To represent the MSME- DO in the various Committees and Bodies where the interest of MSME have to be watched. v) Any other duties may be assigned from time to time.
