News : Nagbhid youth Rahul shines in UPSC exam

Rahul Gawande, the son of a middle-class farmer, has made the small town of Nagbhid proud by clearing the prestigious UPSC
examination. Rahul secured the 469th all India rank in the results that were declared on Monday.

Rahul completed his matriculation from Janta Vidyalaya in Nagbhid, but the ambitious youth went to Nagpur for further studies. He completed his +2 from Shivaji science college in Nagpur and went on to complete his B Tech from Laxminarayan Institute of Technology in Nagpur. He later joined synthetics company Indorama.

However, Rahul aimed high and wanted to serve the society through the civil services. Therefore, he started preparing for the UPSC while continuing with his job. However, he could not clear the exams in his first attempt. Undaunted by failure, Rahul quit his job and went to Delhi to prepare dedicatedly for UPSC through specific coaching. His year-long toil bore fruits as his name was among the few from Vidarbha who cleared the prestigious exam.

Rahul's success has brought name and fame to Nagbhid. He set a model for rural students that even they can achieve what the others living in cities can attain.
