Former IAS officer Chhatar Singh has been appointed a member of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

Singh has been appointed for a period of six years or until he attains the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier, said a notification issued by the Ministry of Personnel.

An IAS officer of Haryana cadre, he had retired on March 31 but was given an extension of six months.
