All expositions on Vedanta accept the truths expressed in the Vedas which are believed to be the very breath of the Supreme Brahman and not the creation or composition of any human or even celestial being. Brahma who created the worlds and the beings derived the capacity to do so from the knowledge of the Vedas that the Supreme Lord had directly imparted to Him. Creation thus happened according to the dictates of the Vedas. Lord Krishna explains that it is important to differentiate between the ephemeral and the eternal that coexist in creation arid evolution using the analogy of the Kshetra (field) and the knower of the field (Kshetrajna), pointed out Srimati Rukmani Ramamurthy in a lecture. The Only Reality is the Supreme Brahman who alone is eternal, without a beginning and is every transcendent. The Upanishads say that such is his infinite expanse that he is beyond what exists and also what does not exist. He thus is all-pervading, and encompasses all things and people indiscriminately. From him is set forth the entire creation and the evolution cycle. He who sees the created world including all the beings with their infinite forms, names and characteristics etc., as a manifestation of the Supreme Brahman and thereby his inner Self as immortal, and the body and its complex features such as the senses, mind. etc„ as always subject to change, is the Knower.
To assimilate and internalise the truth that the entire creation is Only as unsubstantial as a dream demands of an individual a tremendous effort since he/she lives in this world and is very much a part of it in day-to-day activities. A dream can be dismissed since its impact is weakened during one’s waking state when other matters hog one’s attention. Prakriti has immersed us in ignorance through many births. Finance Minister-P. Chidambaram said the-National Investment Board - the proposed Cabinet Committee on Investment to be chaired by the Prime Minister - would be of great benefit to the country’s economic growth as the panel would monitor large projects, especially infrastructure-related, with an investment of over Rs. 1,000 crore.
“It is infrastructure projects which will give a fillip to India’s economic growth and all of us know that those projects today are delayed unfortunately. Some of them are delayed unduly and, therefore, a Committee chaired by the PM to monitor, advise Ministries and guide them to quicker implementation will be a great benefit to economic growth.” Replying to a question in the Lok Sabha Mr. Chidambaram admitted that the Ministry of Environment and Forests had expressed certain reservations when the draft note on the NIB proposal was circulated. “The matter will be placed before the Cabinet and when the Cabinet takes a final decision, we will know what the decision is and how these reservations are being addressed The PM would decide who would be the members of the panel.

In keeping with market expectations and factored in by stock investors, GDP (gross domestic product) growth dipped to 5.3 percent in the second quarter (July September) of 2012-13 from 6.7 per cent in the same quarter during the previous fiscal, mainly owing it dismal performances by the farm and manufacturing sectors.
With the economic growth during the three-month period slipping further from 5.5 per cent in the first quarter of the current fiscal, the scaledown in annual growth projections by various global agencies and think-tanks for the entire year now appears to be more realistic and may turn out to be the lowest pace of GDP expansion . a decade.
While the poor show by the manufacturing sector has been impacting industrial growth severely for the last few months, the pull-down in agriculture during the quarter has led to a much lower GDP growth at 5.4 per cent during the first half (April-September) of 2012-13 as compared to a comparative robust expansion of 7.3 per cent witnessed in the same period a year ago. Despite the slippage, the silver lining in the GDP growth data is that the slowdown appears to be bottoming out as the numbers reveals a slight rise in gross capital formation, showing signs of recovery during the second half of the fiscal year.
