Mathematics??
Hi Sujan, Thanks for your words....going forward, just had one more change, if I go for Mathematics and Anthropology, would it be more helping or difficult? Being an engineering background, I loved Mathematics, and found couple of motivating as well as fearing comments on choosing this paper as mains. Though many says, its nit scoring, on the other hand, the mains papers says, it can be little tricky and hard work if one like this subject. Please comment, if any one have any knowledge on it...Ashok

WHAT TO DO NOW?
I am currently in FYJC and aspire to become an IPS officer. I know enough information regarding the UPSC exams(except the name of required books). But before giving my IPS I wish to join some other Police Branch, preferably the CID. I don't know how to start preparing. Also I want to know that if I want to become an Inspector,do I have to wait for a promotion for 5 years after giving my Sub-Inspector Examination or are there separate exams held for becoming an Inspector ? I don't want to wait for so much time. Also inform me a little about the Foundation Course. What books should I start studying?I am really very passionate about it!Please help!
