hi sir I'm an engnieering student , 2010 passout . im going to appear for civil service examination held on 2011 .as i heard about the change in the pattern of the exam i come across many papers and articles about the CSAT in some area they mentioned two objective papers 1- general studies 2- aptitude paper in some they mentioned compulsory aptitude and other is the optionals which we can take which one is the correct format of the CSAT can we (aspirants 2011) get the sample pattern or blue print of the CSAT its very confusing how to prepare for the prelims please suggest us sir

sir, going through mains solved question papers I can see that I can answer all of them as in the solved papers.If that is the case, all the previous year toppers would also have answered the questions the same appropriate way.Yet why do they finally get, only a less than 200 out of 300 in each paper, why not a 280 or 290? please help me.

Hey, As per my knowledge, CSAT syllabus is not came so for. I'm also eager to know about what type of questions will be there. I think the first paper will remain same and optional paper will be replaced by the aptitude test. Thanks Gaurav Agrawal

Sr, I've done MSc Biotech an am working in a Bank. I am desirous of getting into civil services. I have zeroed in on Public administration and Sociology for appearig in the exam. Sir, I wish to know which subject will be easier if we compare Sociology, History and Psychology? I knw a lot depends on our prev knowledge of the subject but as I said, all these subjects are new to me and I have to start from the scratch for whatever subject opt, I wish to know the lesser of all the devils. 2) Please advise me a list of standard books to follow 3) Also, please advise a coaching institute that provides good material through postal guidance.

Hi Sir, I am an IAS aspirant and have written Prelims 2010 and not cleared. I applied as GM since i belong to Vokkaliga ( karnataka ). I was 29 this year ( DOB: 09/08/1980 ). Was very upset for not clearing. But i saw my caste if its rural comes as OBC. I am going to get the OBC for my caste now. My question is: 1) Can i apply as OBC again? ( i have crossed 30 now ). 2) Since i applied as GM in my 1st attempt, will they accept my application? thanks, sreenivas
