Hi Sir, I am planning to take up civil service exam in 2011, but currently I am working as software engineer in a reputed company with good offers in hand.Because of job profile and workload I will not be able to study and work at same time . So I am planning to quit the job and take up the exam .But i am in a dilemma if this is a good option to do .Please could you guide me and provide me some inputs in this sort. Hello Mr. Bhagat

I am a B.Tech candidate in Electrical and Electronic finishing my degree in May 2011. I wish to appear for Civil Services 2012 and confused if I should take Electrical Engg as an optional sub for Pre. I do not have a solid command over the subject but I do not plan to run away from it as well. Do you recommend me to go ahead with Electrical or give some other subject a thought? Look forward to your reply.

Dear Sir,

There is plethora of study materials in Public Admin.
I am studying myself at home after having quit job, a bit isolated.
Confused to select the best and minimum.
I don't feel it's a pragmatic idea to follow a single book for all topics as some suggests, like new Fadia & Fadia.
I shall be grateful to you if you kindly suggest topic wise best books/material and some other valuable information/tips.

Sir, I have filled the UPSC Engg. Services exam form on monday (17/01/2011) through upsconline.nic.in.......
but i didnt uploaded the scanned copy of my photo and signature and went to home page for filling the part-1 registration of my friend, and thought to upload the photo and sign of both of us after completing the details and paying the fees.
But sir, when i go to the part-2 registration page using my registraiton id, they are again asking for fees.
sir, please help me.
