PUSAPATI SAHITYA'S UPSC PREPARATION STRATEGY
MAKE A WELL PLANNED STRATEGY
Having a preparation strategy during the UPSC preparation days is a must for every serious aspirant. A robust and well-planned strategy helps in completing the UPSC Syllabus on time and it also gives the student ample room for revision before the final UPSC Exam.
START YOUR PREPARATION IN AN INTEGRATED MANNER
She said, until her fourth attempt she didn't do the preparation in an integrated manner. She used to study prelims and mains separately. She was more focused about Prelims. After that she changed her strategy and started her preparation in an integrated manner. She used to solve quizzes for prelims, writing two or three mains questions daily. It helped her to build her competence. Further, she joined a test series and solved full length papers once a week. It helped her a lot. She advised the aspirants, never do segregated study except for a few months before the prelims examination, where one needs to practice only mocks and revise.
READ NEWSPAPERS AND MAGAZINES
Pusapati said, never compromise with your newspaper or magazine reading. It keeps you in touch with the current perspective. Utilize your time in reading relevant articles as this helps you to enhance your reading and writing skills.
OPTIONAL STRATEGY
She chose Zoology as her optional subject. However, during the initial years of preparation it had turned into a nightmare! Eventually she understood the pattern and how to manage the vast Syllabus. She did the study of the basics of zoology concepts from different standard text books and further supplemented it with handwritten or printed materials for zoology available in the market. She also took help from KAJAL JAWLA’s (AIR 28, 2018) online notes. Pusapati advised the aspirants to choose their optional carefully.
At last she said after a point of time, this preparation can get exhausting and difficult but you have only to remain quiet and focus on your goal. "Do not leave till we attain our goal".
