MOURYA'S UPSC PREPARATION STRATEGY
HARD WORK, CONSISTENCY KEY TO SUCCESS AT UPSC EXAM
Mourya says, hard work and consistency play a key role in UPSC exams. An aspirant who is consistent with their preparation will not come under undue pressure in actual exam conditions and he/she will be able to better time management. Aspirants must have a well prepared plan. This plan should be created considering several factors. Every aspirant has a different approach of learning. Rather than following the toppers it is beneficial to prepare own plan.
CHOOSE OPTIONAL SUBJECT CAREFULLY
Mourya said, before starting your Civil Services preparation, it is important to choose your optional subject. It is a most important decision and one must give a proper thought before choosing an optional. It creates a major difference in final marks. Aspirants can decide their optional subject on the basis of graduation subject, inherent Interest, Availability of coaching/study material etc.
LIMITED RESOURCE, MAXIMUM REVISION
Mourya advised the aspirants that they keep their preparation simple rather than going for multiple books. He also used to read bare minimum books and revise them multiple times. It is very important to make short notes. It helps in saving time during revision. Try to make the notes in your own language in whichever way you feel comfortable either online or in hard copy for both general studies and optional paper.
At last Mourya advised the aspirants don't give up on your dreams. If the failures come your way, don't take it hard on yourself. If you are determined and hardworking, success will come your way.
He also advised if possible, always keep a backup plan. This will give you peace of mind. This will also help you to prepare more confidently.
