Anaemia Mukt Bharat

• The Government of India has also developed and launched Anaemia Mukt Bharat (AMB) e-Training Modules to facilitate training of the health care providers through virtual platforms amid COVID 19 pandemic.
• Under the National Health Mission, financial support is provided to the States and UTs for effective implementation of interventions under AMB strategy based on proposals submitted through their respective annual Programme Implementation Plan (PIP).

About the programme:

• The Anaemia Mukt Bharat is an initiative of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and UNICEF to reduce the prevalence of Anaemia all over India. 
• It follows a 6X6X6 strategy (six target beneficiary groups, through six interventions and six institutional mechanisms) to reduce prevalence of anaemia by 3 percentage points per year.
