- NASA’s Kepler Space Telescope unveiled a super-earth planet K2-288Bb which is roughly twice the size of Earth orbiting a star in the low-mass binary system.
- K2-288 in the constellation of Taurus about 226 light-years from Earth.
- The newly discovered world could be rocky or gaseous similar to Neptune.
- The discovery was reported in the Astronomical Journal.
