the apti test is sure gonna b a gr8 step ahead...as being so called topper and studious never helps...wt we need are people who can actually apply their minds and help india achieve success...ne1 can be a topper by cramming all the stuff given in the books bt to be an intelligent individual is not evry1s cuppa tea...how one applies his mind in different situations and what is the mental ability of the individual is what matters...so i guess it'll b a reforming step...

I think the people from engineering background are supporting this under the impression that there will be more of maths...but as far i knew changes are not in that direction.as a whole i think it will be quite unfavorable for people from science background to have their familiar optional s cut from the mains list.i think the existing system serves well in choosing people of right attitude.again in the name of increasing efficiency if an IAS officer is confined to a particular department,i think it will make the career a boring one.

I am in favor af that Apt Test because we really need a change in searching for the right people. For me it is not bias since we have different strengths and we can always use that. We been though much with our thesis writing class. After doing our thesis in college I guess we can do better in this exam.

The changes that the UPSC are planning to implement are definitely a step in the right direction.It would surely attract the best brains of the nation towards this coveted service.It would help in bringing out those people who have good problem solving abilties and logical thinking.

Yes well, the change in the pattern of preliminary is welcome because the job in civil services requires that much aptitude to handle the situation of crisis and desicion making capacity on war time basis. The above requirment can be achieved only by improving the candidates aptitude.

Definately its an good option, as it reflect d true intrensic level of an aspirant. Further it will provide level playing field for every one & the dream of becoming an I.A.S can be possible simultaneously while earning Bread & Butter for daily life. Further more, traits which r checked by present existing system can be checked more scientifically by the proposed one.
