  • The Personality Test / Interview for the candidates for Central Industrial Security Force (Assistant) Commandants) Limited Departmental Competitive Examination 2013 has been scheduled from 16th December
    2013 to 20th December, 2013.

  • The individual candidates are being informed by Summon Letters at their respective addresses to be issued by CISF.

  • The time for reporting in the Forenoon Session is 0900 Hrs. and for the Afternoon Session is 1300 Hrs.

West Indies Tri-Nation Series

India on 11 July 2013 won t he West Indies Tri-Nation Series 2013 Final after defeating Sri Lanka with 1 wicket a t Queens Park Oval, Port of Spain in Trinidad. Mahendra Singh Dhoni captained the Indian Side in
the tri-nation series, whereas, AD Mathews was the captain of the Sri Lanka. Kohli captained the Indian side in the second, third and fourth match after Dhoni suffered from a hamstring injury in the first match against and was out from the series in second, third and fourth match.

  • Sri Lanka batted first in the final match and scored 201 runs at the fall of 10 wickets in 48.5 overs

Mamnoon Hussain

Mamnoon Hussain was elected as the 12th President of Pakistan on 30 July 2013. 73-year old Mamnoon Hussain belonged to the PML-N Party.

He will be administered the oath on 9 September 2013. Mamnoon Hussain succeeded Asif Ali Zardari. Mamnoon Hussain competed against the ex-judge Wajihuddin Ahmed of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party. Raza Rabbani of Pakistan Peoples Party was withdrawn as a competitive candidate.

Former Delhi police Chief, KK Paul on 8 July 2013 took over as the new Governor of Meghalaya, after he was administered the oath of office and secrecy by the Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court, T Meena
Kumari at a simple function held at the Durbal Hall of the Raj Bhavan in Shillong.

Ramon Magsaysay Awards for the year 2013

The Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation on 24 July 2013 announced the Ramon Magsaysay Awards for the year 2013 to three individuals and two organizations for changing their societies for the better. Afghanistans first woman governor Habiba Sarabi and a Myanmar civil society organiser Lahpai Seng Raw, who both helped families displaced by conflict in their home nations, are among five winners of Asias equivalent of the Nobel Prize for the year 2013.

A Brief insight into the list of the Awardees

1. Habiba Sarabi of Afghanistan honoured for helping build a functioning local government and pushing for education and womens rights in Afghanistans Bamyan Province despite discrimination and poverty.

2. Lahpai Seng Raw of Myanmanr honoured for helping the rehabilitate work in damaged communities amid armed conflict.

3. Ernesto Domingo, a 76-yearold Physician honored for dedicating his career to pushing for the poors access to Health services and for groundbreaking and successful advocacy of neonatal Hepatitis vaccination that has saved millions of lives in the Philippines.
